January 11th - May 17th No class March 22,23rd SPRING 2012 SCHEDULE CLICK HERE Join us for Impact’s popular Dance and Drama Program at WCDC! Impact’s classes are progressive and build session by session so that children will be get the most out of their lessons. Children are encouraged to participate throughout the year so that they feel a sense of accomplishment in their respective arts studies. We also welcome newcomers to classes at all times. If your child suddenly develops an interest in dance please let us know. The ages listed for the classes are a guideline we use for placement; if your child is slightly older or younger and wishes to participate please call to determine which class is appropriate.It is recommended also that your child remain in the same level for the entire school year. You may pay by cash or check and leave your form and payment at the front desk of the school or with the Child Development Center. Credit card payment online only Register online. Proper attire is required for all classes. For Dance:Black or pink leotard and pink tights for girls. White t-shirt and black athletic pants for boys. Appropriate dance footwear is required and long hair must beNeatly pulled back in a ponytail or bun. For Drama: Anything they wear to school that is comfortable and doesnt hinder movement. All classes are held on the WCDC Campus. Instructors pick up and drop off the children at their classrooms. |
Thursdays 3:40-4:25pm 18 weeks Starts 1/12 - 5/17 No class 3/22 IN CLASS RECITAL MAY 17th 4:15 At this early stage, young dancers learn basic ballet technique using fun and imaginative stretching and movement exercises. This gentle introduction to classical ballet will also aid in developing coordination, spatial awareness and fine and gross motor skills. Children will delight in this class that encourages imagination, creativity as well as group interaction and working together! Fee $180 |
Thursdays 3:00-3:30pm 18 weeks Starts 1/12 - 5/17 No class 3/22 IN CLASS RECITAL MAY 17th 3:15 The first step for aspiring dancers or any child that enjoys movement. Class will focus on imaginative stretches, exercises and games that will introduce the child to the world of music, rhythm and dance. Fee $160 |
Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:15 18 weeks Starts 1/11 - 5/16 No class 3/21 IN CLASS RECITAl MAY 16th 4:00pm Children will build confidence as they explore their creativity in a fun inspiring atmosphere. Our emphasis for this age group is on the process not the product. Drama games will utilize fairy tales, songs and poetry as children learn about improvisation and creative storytelling. Creative Drama cultivates self awareness and self esteem as well as communication and vocal skills.This class is great for both shy and outgoing students as the children work together to encourage each other in a safe environment. Class is open to Boys and Girls. Fee $180 |
