CREATIVE MOVEMENT AND DANCE

AGES 3-5

This class is a joyful way for young children to experience dance, movement and

drama. Imaginative stretches, exercises and games will introduce the child to the

world

of music, rhythm and dance. This class emphasizes creative use of the

body and

encourages confidence and imagination through acting games,

creative story telling,

and improvisation. Students will begin to understand the

value of a good audience as

they support each other’s hard work in a non

competitive supportive environment.

This class has been modeled after the successful upper school program.

Students this

semester will learn about dance, drama and musical theater with a

focus on learning

basic technique while still having fun!
